After a big gap, T Rajendhar is back. He is planning to make a satire comedy based on the current political situation of Tamil Nadu.
According to sources, TR is planning to rope in a lot of comedy actors and Namitha is also likely to get a prominent role.
Sources say that Rajendhar will be producing the film under his own production house. Although Rajendhar gets trolled many times by the meme creators, he was one of the successful directors in ’80s where he has given many blockbuster movies.
His super hit flicks include Oru Thalai Ragam, Rail Payanangal, Thangaikkor Geetham and Uyirullavarai Usha. Rajendar also directed the debut film of his son STR’s Kadhal Azhivathillai.
After the massive failure of Veerasamy more than a decade ago, Rajendhar stopped directing films and last year, he played a pivotal role in director KV Anand’s political thriller Kavan.
Today, Rajendhar, who heads Latchiya Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, attended a meeting on Cauvery, organised by Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), founded by actor-politician Kamal Haasan.
