Three arrested in Rajasthan over firing incident targeting Tiger Shroff in Mumbai
Three men accused of firing five rounds at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area were arrested aboard the Pune–Jaipur Superfast Express in Rajasthan’s Kota on Monday morning, police said.
The arrests followed a tip-off from Mumbai Police, which prompted a coordinated operation. Investigators said the suspects had fled Mumbai after the shooting and were allegedly planning to travel to Delhi before proceeding to Nepal.
The accused have been identified as Phool Singh, 18, Hrithik Mahto, 22, and Rehan Rahisuddin, 18. According to the police, Mahto was allegedly riding the motorcycle used in the incident, while Singh and Rehan are accused of opening fire at Shroff’s car.
Police officers said Singh and Rehan worked as daily-wage labourers. Mahto, meanwhile, had reportedly been working as a Rapido bike rider in Andheri for around a year.
The case has been transferred to the Anti Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch for further investigation. Police have also provided protection to Shroff.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said investigators would pursue all possible leads to identify those involved in the attack, including anyone who may have planned or financed it. He assured that no one responsible would be spared.
Kota Additional SP Subhash Chandra Mishra confirmed that the suspects had been handed over to Mumbai Police. The team obtained a transit remand and arranged medical examinations for the accused before taking them into custody.
A local court subsequently granted Mumbai Police two days of custody for further questioning.
