Think Originals “Parai” song launch
Think Originals has been creating a great magic in the music industry with its independent music videos. The latest to join the league is Parai that speaks about a painful real life incident regarding caste and untouchability that happened in Vellore district in 2019. The audio launch of this independent single held this morning in Chennai with eminent personalities from the industry gracing the occasion.
Cinematographer Arjun said, “I am thankful to director Kumaran for making mea part of this project. This is a special project and close to my heart.”
Playback singer Srinivas says, “If there was a fan club for Sean Roldan, I would be heading it. I have personally observed the growth of Sean Roldan from his days as a reality show contestant. I have become an addict to his musical score. I am emotionally moved by this independent single Parai that has a thought-provoking concept. I thank Think Music for encouraging the concept of this song and materialising it.”
Actress Dhanalakshmi said, “This is the Emotional moment for me for I am getting an opportunity to be here on this stage. I thank the entire team for being a great support.”
Think Music Santhosh said, “Revolutionizing independent music is the main motto of Think Music. We shot the song and then proceeded with the musical score of Sean Roldan. We were emotionally moved by the final output. The involvement he has shown towards the independent track is outstanding.”
Journalist Savukku Shankar said, “When I saw the song, I asked director Kumaran he could have easily made a song based on some breezy romantic song, which would have easily captured three attention of youngsters. But he told me that the particular incident in 2019 left him emotionally broken and left a deep impact. Just like how Jai Bhim movie created an impact and brought forth a change in society, even this song is going to create revolution.”
Actor Harish Kalyan said, “I have already met Director Kumaran few years ago, and I was in awe of his clarity. Parai is not a song but a movie. One particular shot where the protagonist weeps over her father’s mortal remains and stops while a stone is thrown at her. The performance she has exhibited here is remarkable. During this pandemic period, many among us didn’t even reveal that they were tested positive. This is because of a fear that they would be alienated. Then think about the pain and pathos of the groups that have been pushed to the pits of oppression and depression. Hope we affirm today that we are going to bring an end to it “
Director TJ Gnanavel said, “
I came here all for the sake of Sean Roldan, and I am a great fan of his works. More than appreciating the song, I felt shameful to be a part of society that is filled with so much gruesomeness. Art is an ocean that is merely used for an entertainment, but we need to be responsible as it is the strongest form to reach crowds and bring about a change in society. I thank Think Music for encouraging this song. Sean is an amazing person with musical wisdom. He is a responsible music artist. Even I wanted to come up with same pattern of music and Parai motivate s me to do so “
Music Director Sean Roldan said, “Initially when Kumaran told me about this concept, he was very clear about making it as a music video rather than a full length movie. Our intention about the song is to project the issue to the group that is completely unaware about such gruesome acts. Thanks to director Kumaran for shooting it with so much efficiently. We didnt want the song to be a melodrama kind and so thought of a different style. Many keep questioning us why is musical form used to convey such social issues rather than entertaining crowds. But I cannot be happy while many of my people are suffering. I will continue to be responsible and compose music for such thought-provoking concepts.”
Director Kumaran said, “Sean Roldan has the been great pillar of this song. I am spellbound over brilliant dedication towards this project. Actress Dhanalakshmi surprised everyone on the sets by completing every shot in single take. I am confident that she is going to scale greater heights. When we wanted to convert this song into grand scale, it was Vijay, who travelled throughout the process. It was he who suggested me to approach Think Music. This label has been unparalleled for encouraging and promoting good music. I am glad and emotionally gleeful to have got the Midas-touch of Think Music for Parai “
