Thalaivar 170 shooting begins in Thiruvananthapuram
Lyca Productions on Wednesday revealed the first look of Rajinikanth from the upcoming project, which has been tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. Rajinikanth looks sharp and dapper in the dark suit coupled with his trademark sunglasses.
“With our Superstar @rajinikanth and the stellar cast of #Thalaivar170 the team is all fired up and ready to roll!,” tweeted the production company.
Rajinikanth reached Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday to join the sets of Thalaivar 170. Director TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame is directing the project, which has a star-studded supporting cast.
In the run-up to the production launch, Lyca kept the fans engaged on social media by sharing the details of the movie’s cast and crew. The producers have roped in some of the biggest names from across the Indian film industry for the upcoming Rajinikanth starrer.
Amitabh Bachchan will be seen alonside Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 170. The two biggest stars of Indian cinema have acted together in movies during the early days of their career. In Geraftaar (1985) and Hum (1991) saw Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan share the screen space.
Telugu star Rana Daggubati, Malayalam stars Fahadh Faasil and Manju Warrier have also been roped in for the movie. Young actors Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh are also part of the star-studded supporting cast.
