Ajay Devgn’s film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior remained strong at the ticket window at the start of its fourth week in the box office race, despite facing competition from new releases such as Jawaani Jaaneman, Panga and Street Dancer 3D.
According to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Tanhaji’s overall collections have now reached Rs 255.77 crore after it earned Rs 2.05 crore on Tuesday.
Adarsh also tweeted thatTanhaji will “continue to collect” more in the coming weeks. He tweeted: “Tanhaji is ahead of *all* new releases [#Hindi]… Will continue to collect in coming week as well… [Week 4] Friday 2.77 crore, Saturday 4.48 crore, Sunday 6.28 crore, Monday 2.32 crore, Tuesday 2.05 crore. Total: Rs 255.77 crore. #India business.”
According to the latest Box Office India report, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ has gone on to earn Rs 324 crore (26 days) worldwide as it has minted Rs 295 crore gross in India and $4.1 million overseas to grab the fourth spot.
The list is topped by Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘War’ with Rs 442.41 crore which is followed by Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Kabir Singh’ (Rs 372.49 crore) and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ (Rs 338.39 crore).
The period drama has already become the highest-grossing film of Ajay Devgn’s career, and the movie is chasing many more milestones and blockbusters at the box office. The main reason for the blockbuster’s success has been the overwhelming love it has received from the audiences.
Officials of the Ratnagiri Police too watched the Om Raut directorial. Sharing pictures of the police officials and their families watching the film, the official handle of the Ratnagiri Police tweeted that they caught the 3pm-6pm show at the Radhakrishna Talkies.
