Tamilnadu sees slight increase in number of daily coronavirus cases
Following Kerala, neighboring Karnataka and Tamilnadu too recorded a spike in new Covid cases on Thursday.
Tamilnadu reported 1,859 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday. This is the first time that the cases have increased in the State after 69 days.
Chennai reported 181 positive cases on Thursday. On Wednesday the city had reported only 164 cases.
Similarly a few districts had reported a marginal increase in the number of fresh cases.
As per the data published by the Health department 18 districts including Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Erode, Kallakurichi, Kancheepuram, Kanniyakumari, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Nagapattinam, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Sivaganga, Thanjavur, Coimbatore, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Thoothukudi and Tiruchy have reported increase in number of cases.
