Thozha Tamil Movie Review

The Touchables

STORY

For Seenu (Karthi), a carefree youngster, money is everything in life. Just out of parole, he is hated by his family members, including mother (Jayasudha).

Even as Karthi is under the impression that rich people are the luckiest in the world, he gets a tempting offer- to be the caretaker of Vikram (Nagarjuna), a quadriplegic billionaire who was paralysed from the neck down in a para-gliding accident.

Vikram’s secretary (Tamannah) and good friend (Prakashraj) are initially stunned by the decision to appoint Seenu as caretaker. But slowly, Seenu and vikram help out each other in making their lives better and meaningful.

ANALYSIS

Welcome Tollywood director Vamsi Paidipally to Tamil cinema. In this remake of French classic The Intouchables, he has infused life and colour in each and every scene.

The film conveys a beautiful message that life is to be lived and enjoyed every month. But it goes preachy nowhere. It makes us laugh, smile, feel and also shed a tear or two.

Karthi has come out with a terrific performance, while Nagarjuna, the Telugu top star, wows us each and every scene. Tamannah is good as a chirpy young woman, while Prakashraj proves that why he is a veteran.

Gopi Sunder has come out with good songs and very good background score. P S Vinodh’s cinematography is colourful and adds to the grandeur of the movie, while Praveen K L’s editing is up to the mark.

If you are ready to forgive and forget the length of Thozha, you will be transported into a beautiful world and will be sent out with a lot of positive thoughts.
