Thangaradham Tamil Movie Review

Vettri, mentored by an influential man (Aadukalam Naren), owns a truck called Thangaradham and he carries vegetable loads from Oddanchatram market.

Soundararajan too owns one tempo and there is professional rivalry between Vettri and him. In the meantime, Vettri falls for Aditi, who is sister of Soundararajan.

As expected, Vettri’s enmity with Soundararajan attempts to play spoilsport his romance with Aditi. Meanwhile, Naren draws a plan to save Vettri from Soundararajan’s anger.

But the plan of Naren goes haywire and indeed creates confusion in the lives of everyone. What happens then and whether Vettri is able to join hands with his ladylove forms an emotional climax.

Balamurugan, a former associate of Jagan, who has worked with the likes of Cheran and Vijay, turns independent with Thangaratham.

In his maiden venture, he has opted for a rural tale that has romance, friendship, betrayal, revenge and some comedy.

Vettri passes the muster, while Soundararajan fits well to the bill. Aditi is chirpy and vivacious and Naren, as usual, proves his acting skills once again. Nan Kadavul Rajendran and others are there.

This is the first time a film has been shot extensively at the Oddanchatram Gandhi Vegetable Sandhai which is considered as TN’s second largest market. The director needs appreciation for choosing a convincing plot and making it as a film in a decent manner.

On the other hand, the film is too dramatic and moves in its own pace. But the climax is good, Overall, Thangaratham may not be a chariot, but it is no ‘katta vandi’ too.
