Sivappu Manjal Pachai: Colours of life
STORY:
Rajasekar (Siddharth) is a duty-fearing traffic policeman. He crosses path with Madhan (G V Prakash Kumar), a youngster who is an illegal bike racer.
As Rajasekar insults Madhan in public for his acts, Madhan vows to give a fitting reply to the policeman. However, Rajasekar’s marriage gets fixed with Rajalakshmi (Lijomol), Madhan’s sister.
Madhan is unable to bury the differences with Rajasekar, as it is not easy for him to forget the humiliation episode. But life throws up a situation at them, forcing them to unite.
Did they put aside their rivalry and join hands? What makes them do so? Sivappu Manjal Pachai directed by Sasi will answer these queries.
ANALYSIS:
Sasi, a filmmaker with substance, is at it again in Sivappu Manjal Pachai, that speaks about different people and their colours. The movie is packed with beautiful scenes, touching sentiments and good dialogues.
Siddharth looks fit and tough as traffic cop and exactly gives what his character demands. G V Prakash Kumar gets a meaty role after Rajiv Menon-directed Sarvam Thaala Mayam. The music composer-turned-actor fits well into it.
Lijomol and Kashmira do justice to their respective characters, while others in the cast are adequate. Music by Siddhu Kumar and cinematography by Prasanna Kumar gel well with the script.
On the other hand, an overdose of melodramatic scenes and old-fashioned screenplay mar the flow of the story. But, Sivappu Manjal Pachai can be watched with family for its sentiments and storyline.
