Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings movie review

Story:
Sean (Simu Liu) and his best friend Katie (Awkwafina), are two happy slackers. They are content with their jobs as valet drivers in San Francisco. Their life takes a dramatic change when Sean’s past as Shang comes back to haunt him.
Shang’s father is a centuries-old Chinese warlord who is the bearer of the powerful 10 rings which makes him invincible. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

For the first time a Marvel movie has a Asian martial arts touch. The movie has a different type of representation from the rest of the Marvel movies released so far. Director Cretton has used the commercial formula of Asian movies.
Simu Li goes through various stages of transformation as the hero and he has done his part well. The action sequences are all choreographed well. Each character and each fight has a personality expressed through a style of fighting. The movie is visually appealing and has a neat story as well. Overall Marvel has succesfully added a new hero to its kitty.
