Laughter medicine

STORY:

SK (Sivakarthikeyan) wants to become a big actor. He has a supporting mother (Saranya Ponvannan) too. When he attends the audition of director K S Ravikumar, he turns him down saying that he was unable to bring out emotions well.

In the meantime, he falls for a doctor named Kavya (Keerthy Suresh). He also comes to know that she is engaged to someone else. However, he decides to woo her.

SK hatches a plan and disguises himself as a nurse called Regina Motwani (shortly Remo) and befriends Kavya. Does he succeed in his twin tasks of becoming big actor and joining hands with Kavya forms the crux of the movie.

ANALYSIS:

It i s an out and out Sivakarthikeyan show, we can say, as the actor simply sizzles in each and every scene, both as SK and as Remo. His one-liners, performance, dialogue delivery and the efforts he has put for the female role are praiseworthy.

Keerthi Suresh looks beautiful and performs well too, while others in the cast, including Sathish, Saranya and Yogi Babu, are adequate. Though the story is familiar, there are many scenes which make us laugh out loud.

P C Sriram’s cinematography is one of the biggest highlights of Remo, while Anirudh does justice in both songs and background score. On the whole, though director Bhakiaraj Kannan has taken a familiar route, he has played it to the gallery.
