Puppy : Man’s best friend

STORY:

Prabhu (Varun), who studies final year in a college, takes care of a dog called Puppy, who loves him a lot. His only aim in life is to lose virginity.

Since he is unable to achieve his ‘mission’, he gets advice him from his senior (Yogi Babu), but only lands in goof ups. At last, he finds some luck in life when a beautiful girl called Ramya (Samyuktha Hegde) comes as a tenant in his house.

Both get attracted to each other and fall in love. Finally, Prabhu gets what he wants. However, both soon face the risk of becoming parents and start blaming each other.

In the meantime, Puppy falls sick which too becomes a cause of concern for Prabhu and Ramya. Did they able to overcome the troubles they face?

ANALYSIS:

The film’s story revolves around four characters and each one of them has performed well. Especially, Yogi Babu’s one-liners work big time with the audience.

Though the screenplay fails to engage the audience throughout the movie, there are some enjoyable scenes, especially the pre-climax portions.

On the whole, Puppy, directed by Nattu Dev, lacks nail-biting moments which are required for a movie of this genre, but still manages to put up a decent show thanks to Yogi Babu and his brand of comedy.
