Netrikann movie review

Story:

Durga (Nayantara), a CBI officer, and her younger brother Adi are involved in an accident.

In the accident Adi loses his life while Durga becomes blind.

Meanwhile, young girls get kidnapped in the city by James Dinan (Ajmal) who is a gynaecologist and psycho killer.

He sets his eye on Durga. How she saves herself from the villain forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Director Milind Rau infuses a few commercial elements and extracts the best out of Nayanthara.

Nayanthara’s performance in appreciable.

The way she portrays a blind woman is of the very best quality.

She is ably supported by the support cast, which includes Ajmal Ameer, Manikandan, and others.

Background score is riveting and sets the right mood. Cinematography is good as well.

Netrikann has its bright moments in either half but loses momentum on way too many occasions.

It progresses on a predictable note in the latter half.
