Neelam Productions along with partners Golden Ratio Films and Little Red Car Films have announced a slate of 5 films

Director Pa Ranjith, Neelam Productions along with partners Golden Ratio Films and Little Red Car Films have announced a slate of 5 films for the domestic and international Tamil market to be directed by some of the most exciting young Tamil directors including Mari Selvaraj and Lenin Bharati. The other directors include close collaborators of Pa Ranjith – Suresh Mari, Akiran Moses and Franklin. All 5 films are slated for a wide theatrical release. This will be Mari Selvaraj’s third film after completing his second film with Dhanush shooting in early 2020 and Lenin Bharati’s second after Merku Thodarchi Malai produced by Vijay Sethupati. The films are to be completed within the next two years and will start production in early 2020

NEELAM PRODUCTIONS is known for the critical and commercial hits “Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu” and “Pariyerum Perumal”and is helmed by director Pa Ranjith One of the youngest directors to direct Super Star Rajinikanth twice, Pa Ranjith has also given cult films like Attakathi, and Madras.

PA Ranjith when talking of his role as producer said “Cinema is a powerful medium that can speak to millions at the same time.   We have all, across industries, seen how a good film is received and respected by the audience. I feel very lucky to have been able to connect with the first two films I produced. I have worked for the last two years to handpick the films, stories and directors for this collaboration, story telling is all about being able to communicate with the masses and I’m so excited that I finally get to share these stories with the all of you.”

The Tamil film industry has been and remains one of the most dynamic of India’s many film industries. Tamil cinema contributes upto almost 20 percent in total box office contribution for all Indian films across languages, not only do Tamil films have a proven domestic market, significant expansion has also been seen in overseas theatrical markets both in the East and West. Like with Hindi films over the course of the last few years content has driven the market with film such a Vada Chennai, 96, Pariyerum Perumal scoring big at the box office.

With the buoyant forecast for Tamil cinema in the coming years Golden Ration Films has taken the plunge into Kodambakkam industry in partnership with Pa Ranjith, Neelam Productions and Little Red Car Films.
Golden Ratio Films and Little Red Car Films recently co produced and distributed Dhanush’s “Pakkiri” a film that was released worldwide in over 6 different languages including Tamil, English and French.

Golden Ratio Films is the film production and distribution banner of the Singapore based Vistas Media Capital helmed by Piiyush Singh and Abhayanand Singh. The company has a slate of Indian films due for a release within the next 6 months, some of which include the tamil film “Maadathy- An unfairy Tale”, Bhonsle featuring Manoj Bajpayee, JL50 with Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapur and a marathi film Ab Aane CD with Vikram Gokhale and Amitabh Bacchhan. The company has a line up of 12 films that are in different stages of production and the company has also recently expanded into Hollywood.
