Nayaki Tamil Movie Review

Nayaki Tamil Movie Review

Not heroine

STORY:

Sanjay (Satyam Rajesh) is an aspiring filmmaker and a promiscuous man. While planning to marry a rich woman, he takes his girlfriend Sandhya (Sushma Raj, decent) to a farmhouse with wrong intentions.

The place is haunted by the ghost of one Gayathri (Trisha), who wanted to become an actress but was ‘destroyed’ by a wicked man (Ganesh Venkatraman, whose character heavily reminds us of Sathyajith of 16 Vayadhinile).

Gayathri teaches a fitting lesson to Sanjay, as she can not tolerate men who cheat women. But before she does it, we feel exhausted and tired, besides feeling sorry for our decision to watch this flick.

ANALYSIS:

Trisha, who made the mistake of choosing to do this film, has however made right decision by deciding to stay out its promotions.

For, Nayaki makes a tedious watch and is certainly one of the poorly made eerie thrillers in the recent times. But for very few scenes, we hardly get any surprise or shock.

Trisha and Sushma Raj are decent, while Ganesh Venkatraman and Brahmanandam have nothing much to do. Failing to strike any connect with us, Nayaki certain deserved a much better treatment.
