STORY:
Siva (Raghava Lawrence) is a corrupt police officer who misuses his power to gain monetary benefits in unorthodox methods.
During this process, he also encourages a politician (Ashutosh Rana) who has become a huge headache to top police officer Kirubakaran (Sathyaraj).
The twist is- Siva happens to be Kirubakaran’s son who is angry on the latter as his supposed negligence killed his mother and just born sister, though Kirubakaran actually left his wife in the hospital to save several families in a riot.
Unaware of this, Siva left Kirubakaran and joined an orphanage and became a police officer to seek revenge on his father.
In the meantime, Siva also meets a TV journalist (Nikki Galrani). Meanwhile, Siva crosses swords with the politician’s brother and also understands that his father is a gym.
ANALYSIS:
From scene one till the last, we get to realise that this is the remake of a Telugu film, that too titled Pataas. For, such is the package of high voltage commercial elements in Motta Siva Ketta Siva.
Raghava Lawrence has delivered a power-packed performance, and his stunts and dance movements are a delight to watch. Nikki fits well to the role of a TV journalist, while Sathyaraj, the ‘Kattappa’, performs well to prove he is not ‘Ketta-appa’.
Amresh Ganesh has composed the songs well, while the background score is loud. Sarvesh Murari’s cinematography and Praveen K L’s editing are plus points.
On the flipside, the story is too commercial and certain scenes are cliched. But there are many twists and turns to enthrall the ‘masala movie lover’ in you. If you want some high voltage entertainment this weekend, you can watch this one directed by Sai Ramani.
