Laabam movie review

Story:

Vijay Sethupathi comes back to his village after six years.

Jagapathibabu who is the president of the farmer’s association in the same village wants to set up a biodiesel plant in the village.

Vijay Sethupathi opposes this and also gains the support of a few villages.

However, Jagapathi is not ready to backdown and politics is also involved in the issue.

Did Vijay Sethupathi Succeed or Jagapathi wins form the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Vijay Sethupathi once again steals the show with his stellar performance.

He is in his elements and does a neat job. Shruti Haasan performs well and supports Vijay Sethupathi’s character throughout the movie.

Jagabathi Babu gets into the skin of his character and is apt for the role.

Though the movie’s plot is predictable, the message has been conveyed effectively by director SP Jhananathan.

Once again the importance of farming has been touched upon. The movie is loaded with dialogues which is a small setback.

Music by D Imman is good.
