Kanchana 3 Movie Review

STORY:

Raghava (Raghava Lawrence) is an innocent youngster who gets easily scared. He follows various methods to come out of his fear, but in vain.

Soon, he is occupied by not one, but two spirits- those of Kaali (Raghava Lawrence) and his lover. Kaali was running a home for the differently-abled and needy youngsters and kids.

But he is bumped off by a greedy politician when he refuses to give in to his demands. Following this, Kaali is now into Raghava to take revenge on the politico.

The rest is all about whether Raghava-Kaali succeeded in their mission to teach a fitting lesson to the greedy politician and his men.

ANALYSIS:

Kanchana-3, the fourth instalment to the Muni franchise, follows the templated formula of the earlier three films. The same Lawrence, his family, ghost occupying him, an emotional flashback and a power-packed climax.

But still, Lawrence presents some difference in Kanchana-3 with his performance and the flashback. His real life personality is shown as Kaali and he also issues a warning to those who disturb him.

All three leading ladies- Vedhika, Oviya and Nikki Tamboli- have been used for glamour quotient. The scene stealers are Kovai Sarala, Devadarshini and Sriman.

Songs don’t strike a chord despite stunning steps by Lawrence. Cinematography adds value, while computer graphics have worked well. If you are a fan of Muni and Kanchana series, you will enjoy Kanchana-3 too.
