Ka Pae Ranasingam Movie Review

STORY:

Ranasingam (Vijay Sethupathi) is a crusader in Ramanathapuram district who fights for the cause of people and villages. He falls for Ariyanachi (Aishwarya Rajesh) and enters wedlock with her.

Though Ariyanachi likes the leadership qualities of Ranasingam, she wants him to earn for the family too, so that they could save some money and build a house.

Hence, in a bid to fulfil the mission, he goes to a job in UAE. One day, Ariyanachi gets the shock of her life when she is informed that Ranasingam died in an oil factory mishap.

The rest is all about the struggles she undergo to bring home the mortal remains of her husband. At one point, she even meets the Prime Minister.

ANALYSIS:

Vijay Sethupathi has done an extended cameo and fulfils his job. Arunraja Kamaraj, Ranagaraj Pandey, Mohan Raman, Poo Ram, Bhavani Sre are right choices for their respective characters.

Cinematographer Sudarshan Srinivasan has captured the dry locales of Ramanthapuram district in a realistic manner. Music by Ghibran fits well to the mood of the movie. Shanmugham Muthusamy’s dialogues are another plus.

Director Virumandi has handled a raw subject in his debut movie itself. He could have added certain amount of positivity to the film. But Ka Pae Ranasingam exposes the society and the system.
