“Enga Kaatula Mazhai” Tamil Movie Review
STORY:
Murugan (Mitun Maheswaram), a good for nothing guy and his friend, Kuberan (Appukutty) come into possession of a bag, which contains bundles of American currency.
Agni (Arul Dass), a corrupt police officer, is plotting to steal the bag, while Bajanlal, a pawnbroker and a hawala dealer, is also behind the bag.
Who manages to get hold of the bag finally forms the rest of the story. In the meantime, there is a romance track between Murugan and Mageshwari (Shruthi Ramakrishna), a sales girl.
ANALYSIS:
Enga Kattula Mazhai, directed by Sribalaji, tries to evoke laughter among the audience with a series of so-called funny sequences.
On the other hand, we were able to smile only at a few scenes. The writing is so weak that most of the scenes are either cliched or predictable or both.
Mitun Maheswaran, Appukutty (he has a dog with a mind voice), Arul Dass and Shruthi Ramakrishna fit to their respective roles well. If at all you have a lot of time to kill, a theatre screening Enga Kattula Mazhai can be your destination.
