Annabelle Sethupathi movie review

Story:

Taapsee and her family are petty thieves who are forced to enter a haunted place.

Little did the family know that the Taapsee was connected to the palace in the past.

Taapsee learns about her past life and is surrounded by multiple ghosts.

Flashback and the eccentricity of the present is what the movie is all about.

Analysis:

Taapsee plays dual role in the movie and she does complete justice to both the characters. Vijay Sethupathi as Veera Sethupathi does not get much scope and the character lacks depth.

Directed by Deepak Sundarrajan the movie does not have any horror elements.

The ghosts are mostly used to evoke laughter and this has been done well.

Yogi Babu steals the show as the ghost. Raadhika Sarathkumar and Jagapathi Babu have all done well.

The movie is sound technically. The palace looks grand and music by Krishna Kishor is apt for the mood of the movie.
