A1: Accused No.1 : Less logic, much magic

STORY:

Divya (Tara Alisha Berry) is a Brahmin girl who hails from an orthodox family. Her aim is to marry a tough and fearless guy, but she is particular that he should be a Brahmin.

She comes across Saravanan aka Saro (Santhanam) and falls for him. But, soon, she calls off the relationship after she comes to know that he is from a different caste.

However, love blossoms when Saravanan saves Divya’s father (Yatin Karyekar) after he suffers from a cardiac arrest. But her father rejects the proposal of Saravanan and his parents (M S Baskar and Meera Krishnan).

Divya now poses a challenge to Saravanan- to find out at least one bad quality in her father. She also promises that if Saravanan succeeds in his mission, she would accept him.

The rest is all about how Saravanan and his gang handle the challenge and emerge victorious.

ANALYSIS:

If you are ready to forget logic and leave your brain at home while going to theatre to watch A1: Accused No.1, you will sure won’t regret your decision to watch the film.

It seems director Johnson K has joined hands with Santhanam with a sole aim to provide a fun-filled ride from the beginning till end and the duo have succeeded in it in most parts.

However, Santhanam, who is being loved by all sections of the audience, could have avoided dialogues that make fun at a particular community.

The likes of Nan Kadavul Rajendran, MS Bhaskar, Thangadurai, Manohar and Saikumar provide enough funny moments along with Santhanam, while Tara Alisha Berry is apt choice for her role.

In a running time that is less than two hours, A1: Accused No.1 is Santhanam’s trump card to establish himself as comedy-hero in Tamil cinema.
