100 Movie Review
STORY:
100 revolves around crimes against women happening in the city and how a honest cop Sathya played by Atharvaa gets entangled in an unresolved case.
The dream of Sathya is to become a stern police officer and he is waiting to get the appointment order from the department. But, when he receives it, he is disappointed to learn that he is posted in the control room.
However, he soon finds it as a good opportunity and resolves to help people in distress. He interacts with the callers and solves their problems one after one.
This leads him to take up the mysterious case of a kidnapped girl and he finds that a gang headed by a notorious man is operating in the city. How he puts an end to their atrocities is the rest of the story.
ANALYSIS
It is the dream of every actor in these parts to don khaki and Atharvaa Murali has realised his with 100, directed by Sam Anton. He has done enough homework to fit himself well in the role.
Hansika comes in a blink and miss character, while some one-liners by Yogi Babu trigger laughter. Radha Ravi is right choice for the role of a senior police officer.
The film has got enough potential in it to become a racy cop story. But the screenplay becomes loose over a period of time, preventing us from fully involving in the proceedings.
Relevant issues like women trafficking, drugs usage and parenting have been handled well in 100. The second half is good when compared to the first half.
With a mix of interestingly written scenes and some scenes that might make one feel exhausted, 100 dreams big and achieves it to a decent extent.
