STORY
Vikram (who gives himself myriad names, including James Bond, Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan and even A R Murugadoss, one of the producers of this movie), is an incredible driver who makes impossible things possible, that too within 10 seconds.
He is a transporter, who helps anti-social elements move things from one place to another with his swift and smart ways. He does it to earn money to support his ailing sibling.
One day, Vikram is assigned with a task to transport Shakeela (Samantha), from Tamil Nadu to Uttarkhand, as dreadly terrorists want her. At one point of time, Vikram understands the danger Shakeela faces and resolves to save her. Will it be possible? And more importantly, why ultras are in search for her?
ANALYSIS
After Goli Soda, director Vijay Milton has attempted one more racy flick with 10 Endrathukulla. Though everything looks convincing in paper, something goes wrong somehow and somewhere in execution, making the film one more to the list of mediocre commercial ventures.
Especially, at one point of time, we are able to predict what is going to come next. That too, the much talked about twist (about Samantha) fails to enthuse us. So are the ‘cool characters’ that are present everywhere in the movie, thus failing to establish an emotional connect.
Vikram delivers a top notch performance and he is not at all ageing. He does everything possible to keep himself fit for the character. Samantha, as the typical ‘loosu ponnu’ of Tamil cinema, keeps us smiling in some scenes. Pasupathy is good, while others are okay.
Songs by D Imman are interesting, while Anoop Seelin’s background score is loud and average. Vijay Milton proves himself as a veteran in cinematography, as his lens presents the much needed emotions to the script. Stunts and chasing scenes have been executed well.
10 Endrathukulla is intended to be a racy road thriller but has achieved only 50 per cent in it. The film has its share of positive and negative aspects. Overall, it can neither be appreciated much nor be overlooked.
