Tamil Kudimagan review

Story:

Cheran is from a lower caste who studies hard to become a VAO. He feels that this will help him move out of his current job as a funeral priest.

As the village and its situations stop him from doing so, he continues to strive hard to move out of his current work..

Cheran believes that becoming a VAO will bring him out of the caste-directed mindset of the Villagers.

The story of the film is about how Cheran goes in his path to achieve his dreams and the hurdles that he faces during the journey.

Analysis:

Director Esakki Karvanan has touched upon an important caste issue which is not much talked about in the society.

The first half of the movie has some heart-touching moments and the second half is followed up well.

Dialogues in the movie are hard-hitting and to the point.

The story is complimented well with some fine performances from Cheran, Deepshika, Lal and Aruldass.

Cheran as the man who is trying to break the barriers is mighty impressive.

He is natural in his role and has delivered a memorable performance.

Lal has as usual portrayed the character in an effective manner. Rest of the character have also performed well.

The movie’s technical aspects are passable. Sam CS’s music gels well the theme of the movie.

Rajesh Yadav’s camerawork has captured the proceedings in an interesting manner.

Rating: 3.3/5
