Tamannah and Vishal, who had paired up earlier for Kathi Sandai, which was directed by Sundar C’s former associate Suraaj, will now team up for Sundar himself.
Confirming the development, Tamannah says, “I’m very excited to be working with Sundar sir. I’ve wanted o work with him since the beginning of my career and I’m glad it is finally happening.”
Giving more details, the actress adds: “I’m also looking forward to working with Vishal for the second time. It’s an action film and my character is action based one.”
In the meantime, Sundar is also doing a film with Simbu. Telugu blockbuster Attarintiki Daredi will be remade in Tamil by Sundar with STR playing the lead role. Megha Akash will be the heroine of the movie.
Revealing details about the film to be directed by Sundar C, sources said, “Major portions of the film will be shot in Hyderabad, and the first schedule will begin by month-end.”
Interestingly, Megha Akash is Dhanush’s pair in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s yet to be released Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta and the shoot is currently happening in Mumbai.
Attarintiki Daredi is a 2013 Indian Telugu-language comedy-drama film written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. It stars Pawan Kalyan, Samantha Akkineni and Pranitha Subhash in the lead roles with Nadhiya, Boman Irani and Brahmanandam in supporting roles.
The film was produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under the banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra in association with Reliance Entertainment. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Prasad Murella was the cinematographer. The film focuses on Gautham Nanda, a business heir who acts as a driver in his estranged aunt Sunanda’s house to mend her strained relationship with his grandfather Raghunandan who expelled her for marrying against his wishes years before.
