Swathi ‘killer’ Ramkumar shifted to Chennai: Amid tight security, Ramkumar, arrested in connection with the sensational murder of woman IT professional Swathi in Chennai, was on Sunday taken from Tirunelveli to Chennai in an ambulance and will be produced in a court today.

On Sunday evening, he was taken by an EMRI 108 ambulance to Chennai amidst tight security. He would be produced before the 14 Metropolitan Magistrate in Egmore in connection with the murder.

After the biggest manhunt which was launched in Chennai a week ago, the city police finally arrested the suspected killer of Infosys software engineer S Swathi from Tirunelveli in southern Tamil Nadu.

After the doctors declared his condition was out of danger, a Chennai city police team produced him before judicial magistrate Ramadass and obtained a transit warrant. The team boarded him in an ambulance and brought him via road.
