Suzhal review

Story:

A Cement factory is functioning at Sambalur. Parthiban is the union leader of the factory and stages a protest making several demands.

With the support of police, Harish Uthaman handles the protest easily.

On the night of the protest, the factory catches fire and also Parthiban’s youngest daughter goes missing.

The Mayana Kollai festival is also happening in the village for nine days and a series of incidents take place.

Search is on to find Parthiban’s missing daughter.

Meanwhile, People start doubting one another and enter into fight.

What happens next, was Parthiban’s daughter found, how did the factory catch fire forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Shriya Reddy is terrific as the inspector. She takes the audience on a ride with her different types of emotions.

Kathir as the sub-inspector is constantly on the look out to find the kidnapper and suspects everyone even if they are well known to him. He is impressive in this role.

Parthiban has shed his usual one line counters and shines as a responsible father in search of his daughter.

Aishwarya Rajesh as Parthiban’s elder daughter makes her mark as usual.

Rest of the cast including Harish Uthaman, Ilango Kumaravel, Latha Rao, Prasanna Balachandran have all done their part well.

The first four episodes are directed by Bramma and the last four are by Anusaran.

Writers and Creators Pushkar-Gayathri have touched up on a important problem which happens in day to day life.

They have kept the audience guessing about the identity of the suspect till the climax.

Music by Sam CS is one of the biggest strength of the movie.

Cinematographer Murugesan has captured the village and the festival in a grand manner.
