Suriya’s Karuppu celebrates 100 days with over Rs 300 crore collection
Suriya’s Karuppu has completed 100 days in theatres, with the film’s makers claiming worldwide theatrical earnings of more than Rs 300 crore.
The milestone was marked by messages from production house Dream Warrior Pictures and director-actor RJ Balaji, who thanked audiences for supporting the film throughout its theatrical run.
Dream Warrior Pictures described the film’s journey from its opening shows to the 100-day milestone as a result of sustained audience support. Balaji similarly celebrated the response, describing the film as a major success that had connected with audiences across generations and communities.
Suriya also expressed his gratitude to viewers, saying that the film’s success belonged to those who had supported and celebrated it.
Karuppu’s performance has added another major commercial achievement to Suriya’s career. The film has reportedly become his highest-grossing theatrical release worldwide.
Meanwhile, Suriya’s newer release Vishwanath and Sons has also been performing strongly at the box office. According to figures cited from Sacnilk, the film had collected around Rs 1.19 crore net in India by its tenth day, while its worldwide gross had crossed Rs 160 crore.
The film had reportedly passed the Rs 110-crore mark globally within three days, making it the fastest Suriya-starrer to reach that milestone.
With Karuppu reaching the 100-day mark while Vishwanath and Sons continues its theatrical run, Suriya is enjoying a particularly strong phase at the box office.
