Suriya to play a key role in Bala’s next film?

Suriya might play a prominent role in filmmaker Bala’s untitled next project, that will star Arya and Atharvaa.

According to reports that have emerged recently, Suriya will be playing an important role in Bala’s next film. Apparently, Bala has already asked Suriya to work in his next project and the actor has agreed to do so.

Meanwhile, obliging the request of the fans from Karnataka, 2D Entertainment has decided to dub Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru in Kannada and released it along with the Tamil version in Karnataka.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film also has Aparna Balamurali and Telugu actor Mohan Babu in pivotal characters. Sources say that Soorarai Pottru is scheduled to hit the screens on April 9.

The director of Suriya’s production house, Rajsekar Pandian had posted, ‘#SooraraiPottru will be dubbed in Kannada on popular demand 👍🏼💪🏼#Anbanafans @2D_ENTPVTLTD @Sfckarnataka #SooraraiPottruInKannada.”

Amid reports that the film is a biopic on Air Deccan founder Gopinath, Sudha has denied in an interview to Vikatan. “Yes, all the incidents in the film happened in Gopinath sir’s life but one can’t call it as a biopic,” she said.

According to Sudha, she was supposed to do Soorarai Pottru as her second film but due to the budget constraints, she narrated it to Suriya only after the success of her Irudhi Suttru.

“With Suriya, you don’t have to explain his various looks in the film. All we have to do is to narrate him the story, he would come with the desired look on his own”, she added.
