Suriya thanks Deva and Dhanush at Scene audio launch in Chennai

Actor Suriya made an emotional gesture towards veteran composer Deva during the audio and trailer launch of his upcoming film Scene in Chennai.

The October 31 event brought together Suriya, Jyothika, Karthi, Sivakumar, director Jithu Madhavan, music composer Sushin Shyam and actors Nazriya Nazim and Naslen.

Suriya remembered Deva, who composed music for his debut film Nerukku Ner, and credited the veteran musician with helping launch his film career.

He also recalled the continued popularity of the song Aval Varuvala and expressed gratitude for the composer’s contribution to his journey in cinema.

The actor also acknowledged Dhanush for postponing the release of his film Om, helping Scene avoid a direct clash during the Deepavali release period. Scene marks Jithu Madhavan’s first Tamil-language directorial venture.

The filmmaker gained popularity in Malayalam cinema with Romancham and Aavesham, both of which received strong audience responses and performed well commercially.

His distinctive storytelling, quirky characters and combination of humour and thrills have generated considerable interest in his collaboration with Suriya.

Nazriya and Naslen play important roles in the film, while Sushin Shyam makes his debut as a Tamil film music composer. The project is produced by Suriya and Jyothika under Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment. Scene is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6.
