Suriya’s Agaram Foundation has cleared the air on reports appeared in few sections of the media, claiming that it has supported a particular political party for the May 16 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
“Few messages are getting circulated in social media on Agaram Foundation’s support for a specific party for 2016 Assembly elections,” said a statement.
It added: “We would like to make our stand clear that we are neutral and not supporting any specific party towards election. Thanks.”
Meanwhile, perhaps for the first time in Tamil cinema, Billa had a prequel in the name of Billa 2. And now, director Vikram Kumar is planning one for his recent release 24, which had Suriya in the lead.
“There’s scope to work on a prequel. Audiences would like to know about the back-story of the twin brothers – Aathreya and Sethuraman – played by Suriya in ’24’. We could establish their story in the prequel,” Vikram said.
24 is a science fiction thriller film, written and directed by Vikram Kumar. Based on the concept of time-travel, the film stars actor Suriya in triple roles, with actresses Samantha and Nithya Menen in lead roles.
