Sudha Kongara moves Madras High Court over alleged unpaid remuneration for Parasakthi

Filmmaker Sudha Kongara has approached the Madras High Court alleging that producer Dawn Pictures has not cleared her full remuneration for Parasakthi.

According to submissions, the director claims approximately ₹8.39 crore remains unpaid despite the film’s theatrical and OTT release.

She has sought interim relief, including a request to prevent the satellite release of Parasakthi until the payment dispute is resolved.

The court has temporarily restrained the satellite release until July 8 and directed the production house to file its response before the next hearing. Sudha has also requested that the producer’s upcoming film Idhayam Murali, scheduled for release on July 10, should not be released until the financial dispute is settled.
