Filmmaker Suseenthiran has recently met Silambarasan TR and narrated a rural action entertainer. In his career, Silambarasan’s only rural entertainer is Silambattam so the actor is said to be quite kicked about the script and given his nod to kick start the project.
Simbu is one of the sought after heroes in Tamil cinema now and many directors including Mysskin, Badri Venkatesh and others have expressed their interest on working with him.
There is also talk of him playing the lead along with Kamal Haasan in ‘Sigappu Rojakkal 2’ directed by Manoj K Bharathi.
Recently, there were reports that STR will resume the shoot of Maanadu in October. The film, produced by Suresh Kamatchi, is touted to be a political satire. Kalyani Priyadarshan, who made her debut in Tamil with Hero, will be seen playing the female lead.
A couple of weeks before the lockdown, there were reports that Mysskin will be directing STR in his next. The project was supposed to go on floors in the first week of May. However, the shoot got postponed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Simbu has been working hard by doing workout regularly during the lockdown days, and some videos of the actor went viral on social media. Simbu is also actively hearing stories from many filmmakers, and he has shown interest in a few as well.
Now, director Suseenthiran has narrated a film with a village backdrop to Simbu and impressed the actor with it. Simbu has reportedly agreed upon doing the film with the director because it’s a long time since he played a complete rural character.
