Owing to the killings of civilians in the protests against Sterlite copper plant in Tuticorin, the makers of Chiyaan Vikram-starrer Saamy Square have decided to postpone the trailer release of the film.
“It’s not the time for celebration,so with all your permission ( #Saamy Lovers and #Chiyaan fans ) we are postponing our trailer launch..” tweeted the film’s producer Shibu Thameens.
He added: “Will update,let’s pray for the ppl who lost their lives, more over pray this kind of situation should not continue Nd never happen..#saamy2.”
It is to be noted that director Hari hails from Thoothukudi district so he also suggested the producer to postpone the trailer release from May 26.
Recently, the first look motion poster of ‘Saamy Square’ got a good response from the audience and clocked in more than 3 million views on YouTube.
Keerthy Suresh, Bobby Simha, Prabhu and comedy actor Soori are playing important roles in Saamy Square which is likely to release in July. The film is a sequel to Saamy.
