Stalin will be CM after me: Karunanidhi
DMK president M Karunanidhi on Tuesday said he will be the Chief Minister if his party wins the May 16 assembly election and forms government in Tamil Nadu and his son M K Stalin has to wait “till nature does something to me”.
“Stalin can become Chief Minister only if nature does something to me,” Karunanidhi, who is 93 now, said at his party’s headquarters Anna Arivalayam in Chennai.
” Stalin himself has not only made it clear that he is not interested in becoming the Chief Minister, but has also reiterated that DMK president will be the Chief Minister,” Karunanidhi told a private satellite channel.
Karunanidhi is contesting the state elections for a record 13th time, and a second consecutive time from his home constituency of Tiruvarur. In the campaign for the Tamil Nadu polls, the DMK chief has been jabbed by rival parties more than once about his age, it is to be noted.
