Soori’s Mandaadi Gets Positive Buzz as Sivakarthikeyan Applauds the Film
Soori’s much-anticipated film Mandaadi, directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, has arrived in theatres and is receiving encouraging early reactions from audiences.
One sequence that has particularly caught attention is the boat sequence during the climax, which has been highlighted positively by several viewers.
Following the initial response, actors Sivakarthikeyan and Vishnu Vishal took to X to congratulate Soori and the film’s entire team.
Sivakarthikeyan praised Soori’s determination and years of effort, saying that the actor’s persistence had finally paid off. He also expressed his belief that strong content ultimately finds success.
Soori, who became widely known for his comic performances earlier in his career, has increasingly taken on substantial and challenging roles in Tamil cinema. His career underwent a major shift with Vetri Maaran’s Viduthalai Part 1 in 2023.
He has previously shared the screen with Sivakarthikeyan in films including Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Don. Their most recent acting collaboration was Prince in 2022, while Sivakarthikeyan later produced Soori’s 2024 film Kottukkaali.
Sivakarthikeyan also extended his wishes to the team of Sardar 2, starring Karthi and directed by P. S. Mithran.
Vishnu Vishal, meanwhile, congratulated Soori for maintaining consistency in an industry where sustaining a career over a long period is difficult. He said he was happy to hear the positive feedback surrounding Mandaadi.
The film features an ensemble cast including Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan and Stun Siva.
Elred Kumar has produced the movie and has also contributed to the screenplay along with R. Mohanavasanthan and Thiral Sankar.
The technical crew includes composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer S. R. Kathir, editor Pradeep E. Ragav and production designer DRK Kiran. Action sequences have been choreographed by Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan and Mahesh Mathew.
