Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi OTT release date announced
After a successful theatrical run, the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Madharaasi directed by A. R. Murugadoss, is set for its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video starting October 1, 2025.
Madharaasi marks the exciting first-time collaboration between actor Sivakarthikeyan and veteran director A. R. Murugadoss.
The film features Sivakarthikeyan as Raghu, a man dealing with a rare delusional disorder who is recruited by an NIA officer (Biju Menon) to infiltrate and dismantle a powerful gun-smuggling syndicate led by the menacing antagonist, played by Vidyut Jammwal.
The psychological layer, coupled with the film’s intense action sequences and Anirudh Ravichander’s electrifying music, was a major draw for audiences. The cast also includes Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, alongside Vikranth and Shabeer Kallarakkal.
The film, produced by N. Srilakshmi Prasad under the Sri Lakshmi Movies banner, saw a solid performance at the box office, reportedly crossing the Rs 100 crore mark globally.
