Sivakarthikeyan Unveils Tamil Trailer for Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1
Actor Sivakarthikeyan has officially launched the Tamil trailer for Rishab Shetty’s highly anticipated prequel, Kantara: Chapter 1, on September 22, 2025.
The trailer’s release was a pan-Indian event, with leading stars from various film industries unveiling the dubbed versions to a massive online audience.
Hrithik Roshan launched the Hindi trailer, Prabhas released the Telugu one, and Prithviraj Sukumaran presented the Malayalam version, amplifying the film’s reach and creating a buzz that has taken social media by storm.
Serving as a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, which was made on a modest budget but grossed over Rs 400 crore globally, Kantara: Chapter 1 is expected to be a much bigger and grander spectacle.
The film is written, directed, and led by Rishab Shetty, who returns to the mystical world he created, delving deeper into the folklore and ancient traditions that captivated audiences in the first installment.
The movie is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2025, to coincide with the Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti holidays.
