Simran denies being part of Chandramukhi 2

There has been a rumor doing the rounds that Simran might replace Jyotika in Chandramuki 2, which is to be directed by P Vasu and produced by Sun Pictures, with Raghava Lawrence playing the lead role.

Following this, Simran has clarified that such reports are fake. In a tweet from her official account, the actress said, “It is a fake news. I am sorry to disappoint my fans. I wanted to clarify I have not been approached for any such role.”

The Vaali and Pammal K Sammandham actress added: “I kindly request you all to plz get it right before publishing it on any platform. Thank you.”

Last month, actor-dancer Raghava Lawrence announced that he will play the lead role in Chandramukhi 2. The horror-comedy film will be directed by P Vasu and produced by Kalanathi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be announced.

Talking about Chandramukhi 2, it will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures and directed by P Vasu. The movie will reportedly go on floors once the lockdown ends. The first part had superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.

Talking about Jyothika, who played a key role in the original, her latest movie Ponmagal Vandhal has been released in an online streaming platform a few days back and received a positive response from the audience as well as film critics.

It is a known fact that Simran was the first to be approached to play the lead in Chandramukhi when the film was first released more than fifteen years back.
