After much delay, Simbu aka STR joined the sets of Maanaadu. However, shooting for the movie has come to a halt as the industry is on complete shutdown due to coronavirus outbreak.
The film’s producer Suresh Kamatchi said that STR was the most worried one in their team for the sudden cancellation of the shoot. But the actor agreed considering the safety of all the workers in the team.
The producer added that the shoot of the film will be soon resumed in style. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film also has SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, SA Chandrasekhar, Bharathiraja, and Manoj Bharathiraja in pivotal characters.
Meanwhile, Karthi has appreciated the government for all the preventive measures to control the coronavirus outbreak in Tamil Nadu. He thanked doctors, nurses and their families for their valuable effort.
The actor, who was last seen in Thambi and is currently shooting for a string of films, asked people to stay at home and follow proper hygiene to support the combined effort.
“My sincere respects to the Govt., all institutions, especially doctors, nurses & their families who’re taking every precaution to protect us from #COVID19. I was still able to see people crowd at the beach. Let’s support the combined effort, stay at home& practice proper hygiene”, Karthi tweeted.
