Simbu on spiritual mode, to resume shoot for Maanaadu

Earlier this year, Simbu was dropped from Venkat Prabhu’s Maanadu after he had allegedly been the cause for the numerous delays in starting the movie.

However recently, it was speculated that he would be back in the project. And now, the latest update is that he would soon resume shoot for the movie, to be directed by Venkat Prabhu and bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi.

According to sources, STR’s parents, especially his mother Usha Rajendhar, promised the representatives of Tamil Film Producers Council that their son will regularly attend the shoot of Maanaadu.

Also, Simbu decided to follow a strict vratham from today and he will be soon visiting the Sabarimala temple. “He will offer prayers today at the Mahalingapuram Sri Ayyappan temple,” sources said.

Recently, a meeting to sort out the Maanaadu issue once for all, was held in the Producers Council, which was presided by senior producers, Sathyajyothi Thiagarajan, Sivasakthi Pandian, K. Rajan, K. Balu, and JSK Sathish.

Usha was reportedly involved in some heated arguments with producer Suresh Kamachi.  Usha apparently maintained that Simbu’s dates had not been utilized effectively by the production house. Suresh Kamatchi had, however, accused Simbu of not turning up for the shoot, even after receiving an advance amount of rupees 2 crores. Finally, a compromise agreement was reached, sources said.
