Shruti Haasan to perform in Bigg Boss

Shruti Haasan gives voice for women rights

Actress-singer-music composear Shruti Haasan interacted with the media at a get-together for women organised by RPG Foundation and expressed her views on women rights.

The 7aum Arivu and Singam 3 actress, who is the eldest daughter of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, said women still feel the need to protest for their rights, not only in India but all around the world.

“People organise marches and protests for women’s rights and I find it weird that we still feel the need to do these protests for women’s safety and equality rights. It has been happening for years. I do believe there is a change in the scenario but I feel sad that the problem still exists,” she said.

“I don’t feel it is happening only in our country. It is happening all around the world. When you look at international news, you realise this topic comes up many times,” added Shruti.

She also said: “I think slowly things are changing. Films are being made that are rooted in women characters, so change is taking place. But it should have happened a bit earlier.”

Shruti is well-known as a social butterfly who likes to keep her fans updated about her life. Recently, a video of the Gabbar Singh actress, shared by Pinkvilla on its official Insta Id went viral and took the internet by storm.
