Shooting of Ponniyin Selvan wrapped up
The shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan which began in July with the entire cast has been wrapped up.
Based on the Tamil literary novel of the same name, Ponniyin Selvan will be made in two parts. The first part is set to release in theatres in summer, 2022.
Touted to be a period drama, the film is one of the most ambitious projects of Mani Ratnam.
Ponniyin Selvan features an ensemble cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, and Jayaram, among others.
The period drama is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies.
