Apparently upset over delay in resuming the shoot, director Shankar has reportedly written to the production house of Indian 2 asking them to spell out their production plan for the project.
According to reports, while Shankar and his team were ready to shoot, the production house wanted to bring down the cost to make up for their losses amidst the lockdown.
Shankar felt it would be difficult as he had already brought down the cost from Rs 400 crore to Rs 220 crore. That is the reason why the production house is reportedly playing the waiting game.
So, he has dashed off a letter to them, asking them to provide him with their plans for the project, and allowing him to work on another film if they intend to delay things even further, it is said.
Meanwhile, the production house’s COO P Kannan, clarified, “This is a rumour. We have not got nothing of this sort from Shankar.”
The shooting of Indian 2 was stopped early this year due to an unforeseen accident on the film sets. A crane crashed on the tent housed on the film sets leaving three people dead and more than 10 people injured.
Kamal Haasan has already completed a good chunk of his portions in Indian 2. With the assembly elections set to happen in April 2021, Kamal Haasan is all thrilled to take part in the elections with his party members of Makkal Needhi Maiam. So, he has expressed his interest to complete his portions by January.
