Veteran actress Shabana Azmi had met with an accident in January. The pictures from the accident took over the internet in no time and in a recent interview when she was asked about the same, the actress replied that her family didn’t like it.
She revealed that she had no idea about the accident the pictures as she didn’t use her phone for a long time during the recovery. However, she stated that her family was upset about it. Shabana went on to add that when she saw the pictures, she was nothing but grateful towards who helped and rushed her to the hospital and the staff.
“If you compare those graphic images to the outpouring of love and concern that came my way from my audience, it overwhelmed me so completely that nothing else mattered,” she said.
She added: “I am completely fine and have fully recovered. Currently, I am in Budapest shooting for Halo (produced by Steven Spielberg) and I am happy to be back on the sets.”
Soon after the veteran actor met with an accident, her photo from the sit hit the Internet and instantly went viral. Many had urged to stop circulating the photos as it’s ‘insensitive’.
On being quizzed about it, the Neerja actor said, “My family was upset. It was kept away from me for the longest time as I didn’t have my cellphone. When I saw it, I was on my way to recovery. At that moment, I was just really grateful to those who helped me and the hospital staff.”
On the work front, the latest, she has featured in Sheer Qorma, a film which deals with same-sex marriage. The love story between two queer women, played by Swara Bhasker and Divya Dutta is helmed by Faraz Arif Ansari.
