Sengalam webseries review

Story:

Sharath Lohitashwa has a huge task of selecting the candidate for the municipality chairman post which became vacant following the demise of his elder son.

He has to choose between his younger son, daughter and daughter-in-law.

Meanwhile, the party cadres are also eagerly waiting for his decision. On the other hand there is Kalaiyarasan and his two brothers who are on a killing spree.

They have already murdered two people and challenge the cops that the killings will continue.

Arjai, a strict cop is deputed to catch Kalaiyarasan and his brothers.

How is Kalaiyarasan connected with the municipality chairman election.

Was Arjai successful in catching the brothers forms the crux of the webseries which is available on Zee 5 platform.

Analysis:

Director S R Prabhakaran has made a full-fledged political thriller with all the essential elements.

There is a revenge drama, there is suspense and contemporary politics.

The series has enough twists and turns. Even the predictable twists are staged in an effective manner.

Screenplay of the series is very engaging and the episodes keep the audience piqued.

Kalaiyarasan is top notch in his rural. He is a natural when it comes to such characters and has delivered in an effective manner.

Every character in the movie has its own motive and hence gets enough screenspace.

Vani Bhojan gets a strong role and is refreshing to see her in such a character.

Rest of the cast including Pawan, Viji Chandrasekhar, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Vela Ramamoorhty, Sharath Lohitashwa have all performed well.

Music by Dharan keeps the proceedings in an engaging manner.

Vetrivel Mahendran’s camerawork is impressive.
