A sudden health ailment of director Selvaraghavan has apparently resulted in the slight delay of his upcoming venture NGK, which has Suriya in the lead.
According to reports, the movie which was originally slated to hit the screens for Deepavali, will be pushed to November, since Selvaraghavan recently underwent appendix surgery.
Meanwhile, taking to social media, the Pudupettai and Aayirathil Oruvan maker said, “Hi friends. It was a simple medical procedure. I’m perfectly fine and have resumed work.”
He added: “Shooting for #NGK will start in next couple of days. Once again thank you all for your love and concern. 🤗🤗🤗”
Recently, to mark Suriya’s birthday, makers of NGK released the second look poster of the movie. Also, it was revealed that NGK means Nandha Gopalan Kumaran.
The poster shows people’s celebration with scores of policemen in the background. However, it isn’t clear whether Suriya plays a revolutionary leader of sorts.
Notably, the first look poster showed Suriya in a Che Guevara-styled makeover.
