G V Prakash Kumar’s Sarvam Thaala Mayam, which was slated to hit the screens this weekend, has been postponed to a later date.
Though the producers have not mentioned the reason behind holding the film’s release, it is said that lack of availability of theatres forced them to do so.
Sarvam Thaala Mayam is a musical drama film written and directed by Rajiv Menon. The film will be released as “Madras Beats” in some English-speaking territories.
The film stars G. V. Prakash Kumar and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles, with a supporting cast including Nedumudi Venu, Vineeth, Santha Dhananjayan and Kumaravel. The film features music composed by A. R. Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Yadav.
Veteran cinematographer P C Sreeram tweeted recently: “SarvamThaalaMayam – An interesting film about mans passion for music.Great performance by Gvprakash& Needumudivenu. Best wishes to rajeevmenon & team.”
Adhik Ravichandran who watched the film recently tweeted: “Our favorite director of #MK (Minsara Kanavu) #KK (Kandukondein Kandukondein) legend @DirRajivMenon Sir’s next #SarvamThalamayam lucky to watch the classic,loved the film, writing,emotions,great reference for a musical film.”
He added: “Sure blockbuster,happy for my Nanban to get a such great film,ur career best @gvprakash loved you performance #Peterbeatuyethu”. The film has music by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman, who is the uncle of GVP.
Arun Raja Kamaraj of Kabali fame, who penned the song ‘Peter beatu yethu…’ posted: “It’s been a great honour for me to be associated with the movie #SarvamThalamayam as a lyricist. legendary director& my guru @DirRajivMenon sir’s Movie, Oscar nayagan @arrahman sir music Starring @gvprakash in an Ambitious role.
