Veteran actor-director Samuthirakani has officially addressed the social media firestorm surrounding his recent comments about Vijay and Trisha Krishnan.
Clips had been circulating online where Samuthirakani appeared to be critical of the duo’s personal and professional choices during the Jana Nayagan standoff.
In a clear-cut response today, Samuthirakani stated that his words were “twisted for clicks.” He clarified that his remarks stemmed from “genuine concern, not criticism.”
“I have traveled with them for years. When I speak about the delays or the pressure they face, it’s out of a place of brotherhood. My intent was to highlight the systemic hurdles in the industry, not to point fingers at my colleagues,” he explained.
The actor urged fans and “meme creators” to stop fueling a narrative of conflict where none exists, reaffirming his deep respect for both Vijay and Trisha.
